Cinderella Volunteer Information
Dear Parent Volunteers,
As we head to the theatre for our performance of Cinderella, we want you to know how volunteering will help all of us have a great rehearsal and performance experience. Thank you very much in advance of the work you volunteer to help with!
Stage Crew Volunteers are one of our most valued aspects and needed spots for moms and dads. Unloading the scenery, props, and supplies, arranging dressing room spaces, laying dance floor, hanging signs and helping in areas on stage if needed. Everything needs to be ready for the dancers when they arrive. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
Dressers are needed to check that all of the children are in their place and ready in the correct costume for the rehearsal and performances. Each group needs 1 mom assigned to check in the dancers and have them ready to proceed. Dancers with several costume changes must have made arrangements outside of our volunteers to help. (recommended to be the dancer’s mom) All areas must be kept neat and clean for move out. We are counting on you all!
Chaperones bring games, coloring activities, dvd, etc. to keep children calm and quiet as they are waiting backstage. Chaperones will escort dancers to and from the stage and to the security check-in/out area at intermission and at the end of the show.
Ushers / Ticket takers need to take performance tickets by tearing their stubs off and put the stubs into the baskets provided. Assist with seating if needed. Please be at the theatre doors 30 minutes prior to the show.
Move Out is very important as our time in the theater is limited and everyone is tired. We would appreciate at least one parent to stay and help us with loading out of the theater and all of the spaces we have occupied! Dressing rooms should be clean by the dancers and their dressing room moms.
Security Check-In/Out for Children: Provide security for children. Make sure the same parent who checks a child in is the same one who checks them out.
Anyone who wishes to volunteer in addition to these assignments or who will not be able to serve in the listed areas but can help otherwise please let me know! We would love some help with sewing, costumes, headpieces, photo week, crafty things and general last minute get it done errands!
