IMPORTANT

We are so excited to be in the theater and begin bringing A Midsummer Night’s Dream to life on stage. It has been a wonderful process watching these dancers grow, focus, and commit themselves to this production. For many, this is their first time on stage, making this experience even more meaningful. We are incredibly proud of the work they have done and the way they have carried themselves throughout rehearsals.

We cannot wait for you to see everything come together this weekend—their discipline, their artistry, and all of the details they have worked so hard to achieve. It is going to be a beautiful performance!

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM

DRESS REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE DIRECTIVES

Dear Midsummer Families,

Dress Rehearsal at the Palace Theatre will be held Saturday, June 6 at 12:30 PM. This is a full production run and is essential to the success of the performances. Every dancer must be present, prepared, and on time.

LOCATION & ARRIVAL

Palace Theatre
300 South Main Street
Grapevine, TX 76051

Arrival: 12:00 PM
Rehearsal Begins: 12:30 PM

Upon Arrival:

  • Enter through the front doors
  • Take a seat in the auditorium immediately
  • Dancers must arrive with hair and makeup fully completed

The Lancaster Room will serve as the dressing and holding area.

HOW DRESS REHEARSAL WILL RUN

  1. We begin at 12:30 PM with our youngest dancers
  2. Each group will go on stage for spacing
  3. After spacing, dancers return to the dressing room
  4. Once all groups are spaced, we will:
    • Start at the top of the show
    • Run the entire ballet in order

NON-NEGOTIABLE

  • DO NOT LEAVE after your dancer’s spacing
  • If you leave, your dancer will miss the dress rehearsal run
  • Late arrivals will not be accommodated
(We cannot stop and restart staging)

DISMISSAL

  • Groups will be dismissed by faculty only when fully finished
  • Do not leave until your dancer is dismissed

PERFORMANCES – VERY IMPORTANT

Check-In Requirement:

  • Upon arrival for all performances, dancers must report to the Security Sign-In Table
  • A parent/guardian must sign the dancer in before going anywhere else

During performances:

  • No dancers may leave early — no exceptions
  • Every dancer stays through the entire ballet

Leaving early:

  • Disrupts backstage traffic
  • Disrupts the performance
  • Impacts other dancers

At the end of the show:

  • Dancers must be signed out at the Security Table
  • The same parent who signed them in must sign them out
  • Once signed out, dancers may meet family and friends in the lobby to celebrate their performance
